Selby Gardens' 30-acre campus on Little Sarasota Bay at 401 N. Tamiami Trail in Osprey layers nearly 6,000 years of history in one walk: prehistoric shell middens, the Webb family's 1867 pioneer homestead with Mary's Chapel and the Guptill House, and the gardens Bertha Palmer laid out after buying the property in 1910. There's also a butterfly house, native-plant trails, and the Bayfront Cottage Café. Open daily, 10 am–5 pm.
