Once a 1920s Palmer-era celery farm, this 400+ acre site at 999 Center Road now doubles as Sarasota County's primary stormwater facility and one of the birdiest stops on the Great Florida Birding Trail, with 246 species recorded since 2001. Two boardwalks off Palmer Boulevard and Raymond Road and the Sarasota Audubon Nature Center anchor a network of trails for walking, biking, fishing, and wildlife watching.
