Siesta Key: Where to Eat and What to Do

By Carson B. · Updated November 6, 2026

Start at Siesta Beach, where the sand is nearly pure quartz and parking is free but fills fast. Take the free Breeze trolley to Siesta Key Village for lunch at Siesta Key Oyster Bar or The Cottage. For a sandwich to take to the sand, Anna's Deli or Big Water Fish Market.

The beach and getting there

Visit Sarasota counts 976 free parking spaces at the public beach and pavilion, and they still fill on busy days, so come early. Lifeguards are on duty there. The Siesta Key Breeze is a free trolley that runs daily, listed as 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with changes on some holidays. If you're staying on the key, it beats circling for a spot. See our beach guide for how Siesta compares.
